Dr. Rakesh Vakhariya earned his Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude in Biology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and his medical degree from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lansing, Michigan. He continued his training with an Internship and Residency in Anesthesiology and an Interventional Pain Fellowship, all of which were completed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. Vakhariya has extensive experience with the management and interventional procedures used to treat pain. Active in professional organizations, he is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists and American Medical Association. Dr. Vakhariya has lectured on various aspects of pain management and anesthesiology, and has been involved in several research investigations in the field.
