Dr. Jason Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in Albion, Michigan, and his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed an Osteopathic Internship at Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan and Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Peter then continued his training with a Sports and Spine Fellowship at the New Jersey Sports Medicine Institute in Verona, and a Pain Management and Palliative Care Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York. Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Peter has been in practice at the Pain Clinic of Michigan since 2011. Active in professional organizations, he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association. Dr. Peter has received a number of honors and awards throughout his career and has served as a speaker for pharmaceutical companies. In addition, he has been a contributor to books on headache pain and football injuries.
