Rakesh Vakhariya D.O.
Dr. Rakesh Vakhariya earned his Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude in Biology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and his medical degree from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lansing, Michigan. He continued his training with an Internship and Residency in Anesthesiology and an Interventional Pain Fellowship, all of which were completed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. Vakhariya has extensive experience with the management and interventional procedures used to treat pain. Active in professional organizations, he is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists and American Medical Association. Dr. Vakhariya has lectured on various aspects of pain management and anesthesiology, and has been involved in several research investigations in the field.
Jason N. Peter, D.O.
Dr. Jason Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in Albion, Michigan, and his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed an Osteopathic Internship at Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan and Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Peter then continued his training with a Sports and Spine Fellowship at the New Jersey Sports Medicine Institute in Verona, and a Pain Management and Palliative Care Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York.
Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Peter has been in practice at the Pain Clinic of Michigan since 2011. Active in professional organizations, he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association. Dr. Peter has received a number of honors and awards throughout his career and has served as a speaker for pharmaceutical companies. In addition, he has been a contributor to books on headache pain and football injuries.

Wendy Howard- Physician’s Assistant
Wendy Howard is a Board Certified Physician’s Assistant that graduated from Western Michigan University’s Physician’s Assistant program in 1996. She has been practicing for pain management for 5 years but has also practiced pediatrics and allergy and asthma treatment.
Carrie Evatz- Nurse Practitioner
Carrie Evatz is an Adult Nurse Practitioner who is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2006 and graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2013, both from Madonna University.
Prior to the working at The Pain Clinic of Michigan, Carrie worked as a staff nurse and clinical research coordinator at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan from 2006-2013.
When not working Carrie enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her family and friends.
