Dr. Rakesh Vakhariya earned his Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude in Biology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and his medical degree from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lansing, Michigan. He continued his training with an Internship and Residency in Anesthesiology and an Interventional Pain Fellowship, all of which were completed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. Vakhariya has extensive experience with the management and interventional procedures used to treat pain. Jason N. Peter, D.O.
Dr. Jason Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in Albion, Michigan, and his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed an Osteopathic Internship at Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan and Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Peter then continued his training with a Sports and Spine Fellowship at the New Jersey Sports Medicine Institute in Verona, and a Pain Management and Palliative Care Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York. Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Peter has been in practice at the Pain Clinic of Michigan since 2011. Active in professional organizations, he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association. Dr. Peter has received a number of honors and awards throughout his career and has served as a speaker for pharmaceutical companies. In addition, he has been a contributor to books on headache pain and football injuries.
Dr. Mark Mounayer earned his Bachelor of Science with Distinction from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He continued his training with an Internship and Residency in Anesthesiology and an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship, all of which were completed at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. Mounayer has extensive experience with the management and interventional procedures to treat pain. Dr. Harry Sukumaran, M.D. is a pain management specialist Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology at Michigan State University and his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Anesthesiology at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. He then continued his specialty training in Pain Medicine in a multidisciplinary interventional fellowship at the University of Michigan. AMAN Upadhyay, m.d.
Dr. Aman Upadhyay, M.D. is a pain medicine specialist board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He earned his undergraduate and medical degree from the esteemed Guaranteed Professional Program at The University of Illinois. He then completed a surgical internship At University Hospitals Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio and further completed an anesthesiology residency at Henry Ford Hospital where upon completion, he was awarded Resident of the year for the department and nominated as a top resident in the hospital system. Dr. Upadhyay then competed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Henry Ford Hospital. Since then he has been practicing pain medicine and was Director of Pain Medicine Research at Henry Ford for a number of years. He is consistently recognized as a TOP DOC by Detroit's HOUR magazine. Along with joining our group he is also a member of the NFL players association Pain Medicine Council and acting Pain Management Physician for the Detroit Lions.
Hanish K. Singh, M.D.
A native Detroiter, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physiology at Michigan State University. After graduating with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Singh completed a General Surgery internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, a residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Health System, and a fellowship in Infectious Disease at Michigan State University. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology and fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Wayne State University, where he was voted Educator of the Year.
Dr. Singh has expertise in treating both acute and chronic pain, including pain related to arthritis, failed back surgery, and cancer. He treats pain with a comprehensive approach, using multimodal techniques. Dr. Singh is constantly evolving his practice to bring his patients the most up to date, effective treatment options.
