Rakesh Vakhariya, D.O.

Dr. Rakesh Vakhariya earned his Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude in Biology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and his medical degree from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lansing, Michigan. He continued his training with an Internship and Residency in Anesthesiology and an Interventional Pain Fellowship, all of which were completed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. Vakhariya has extensive experience with the management and interventional procedures used to treat pain. Active in professional organizations, he is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists and American Medical Association. Dr. Vakhariya has lectured on various aspects of pain management and anesthesiology, and has been involved in several research investigations in the field.

Jason N. Peter, D.O.

Dr. Jason Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in Albion, Michigan, and his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed an Osteopathic Internship at Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan and Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Peter then continued his training with a Sports and Spine Fellowship at the New Jersey Sports Medicine Institute in Verona, and a Pain Management and Palliative Care Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York. Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Peter has been in practice at the Pain Clinic of Michigan since 2011. Active in professional organizations, he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association. mark h. mounayer, m.d.

Dr. Mark Mounayer earned his Bachelor of Science with Distinction from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.  He continued his training with an Internship and Residency in Anesthesiology and an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship, all of which were completed at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.  Board certified in Anesthesiology, Dr. Mounayer has extensive experience with the management and interventional procedures to treat pain.  Active in professional organizations, he is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists, and American Medical Association.  Dr. Mounayer’s area of expertise is treating both chronic and acute pain, failed back surgery pain, arthritic pain, and cancer-related pain disorders.
